• Use the FileForge desktop application (the “Software”);
• Visit our websites (including fileforge.com, surelink.com) or otherwise interact with us; and

FileForge performs file assessment, cleanup, optimization, OCR, transcription, image description, duplicate detection, Q&A generation/testing, and JSONL export locally on your device. FileForge does not receive your files or the contents of your files as part of normal FileForge operation.

FileForge Deployment Modes and Third-Party Services
1. Deployment Options.FileForge is designed to operate in one of the following user-selected deployment configurations (each, a “Deployment Mode”):
a. Local Device Mode – Operation exclusively on the user’s local computer or device environment;
b. Local Server Mode – Operation via a server environment hosted and controlled by the user; or
c. Groq API Mode – Operation through an integration with the Groq API or GroqCloud services.
The user is solely responsible for selecting the appropriate Deployment Mode and for ensuring that its infrastructure, systems, and use comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party agreements.
2. Third-Party Services (Groq API Mode).If the user elects to operate FileForge in Groq API Mode, the user acknowledges and agrees that:
a. FileForge will interact with services provided by Groq, Inc. or its affiliates (“Groq”);
b. Use of Groq services is governed exclusively by Groq’s applicable terms, policies, and agreements; and
c. The user is solely responsible for reviewing, understanding, and complying with all applicable Groq documentation.
Groq’s governing documents may include, without limitation:
• Groq Terms of Use
• Groq Privacy Policy
• Groq Service Agreement
• Groq Data Processing Addendum for GroqCloud Services
These documents are incorporated by reference to the extent applicable to the user’s use of Groq services.
3. No Responsibility for Third-Party Services.
FileForge does not own, operate, or control Groq services and makes no representations or warranties regarding their availability, security, performance, or compliance. Any use of Groq services is at the user’s own risk and subject to Groq’s applicable terms and policies.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT BECAUSE FILEFORGE DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR CONTENT AND CANNOT RESTORE LOST OR DAMAGED FILES OR UNDO CHANGES MADE ON YOUR DEVICE.
Information We Collect
We may collect limited information in the following circumstances:
Groq API Usage: FileForge has visibility into Groq API usage, by token. Tokens are typically set up by business entities. FileForge however has no visibility into prompt or response content.
Voluntarily Provided Information: If you choose to contact us directly (e.g., via email, Slack, support inquiries, contact forms, surveys, or other communications), you may provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or other details included in your message. This also includes any Feedback (as defined in our Terms of Service) you explicitly provide to us.
Website Interactions: When you visit our website, we may collect non-personal information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and browsing behavior through cookies or similar technologies for analytics and site functionality. We do not use this to track your Software usage. For details on cookies, see the "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" section below.
The Software may access the internet to download the application itself, retrieve local large-language-model (LLM) files, or install optional updates. These network calls are limited to the assets necessary for installation or upgrade and are always transmitted over encrypted channels.
We record only minimal, aggregated telemetry (e.g., download timestamp, file checksum, API usage) for reliability and security monitoring. No personal data is transmitted to SureLink AI or shared with third parties at any point during downloads or updates.
We do not collect sensitive personal information unless you voluntarily provide it in direct communications (e.g., in support requests), and we advise against sharing sensitive data unless necessary.
How We Use Information
For information you voluntarily provide or that is collected through website/installer interactions, we use it to:
• Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
• Process and incorporate feedback to improve our products and services;
• Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of our websites and distribution mechanisms (e.g., installer delivery);
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
• Process payments associated to your FileForge billing plan.
We do not use your information for marketing unless you explicitly opt in (for example, subscribing to newsletters), consistent with FileForge's current policy posture.

If you reside in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with stringent privacy requirements, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any voluntary submissions and apply principles of data minimization and purpose limitation to FileForge processing.
